[ First things first, and a fantastic start it is, one much smaller Akimichi Chouji wakes up in a house that's definitely not the one he fell asleep in last night. This naturally merits investigation.

It's the beginning of the end. Some time later in the day- is that your doorbell ringing, Lucetian? Or maybe just a knock you hear upon your front door? You may well open it to find a gaggle of chibi ninjas (of various levels of obnoxiousness) staring up at you today.

Could this be an accident? They certainly look like they know what they're doing. ]

[While Chouji is investigating, he may come across one (1) best friend lying on the floor, looking out the window. It's too cold to go outside, but these buildings are tall. He can see the clouds just fine from here.]

[ And wouldn't you know, things just got much less unsettling. ]

Not as old as our dads, but you were pretty tall. Had a forehead protector too, so I guess that means you were a shinobi.

You were pretty cool. [As if Chouji would be anything but. Have a grin.]

Really? [ Only of course he's not making it up, because he's Shikamaru. That is... so cool. He actually gets to be a ninja.

Further investigation of the room, don't mind him. ] So where are we?

Yup. [Nod to that question.] An apartment. The grown-up you said we were just staying here for a while, until we can go back home.

It's really different. [ fffff okay, mostly kind of scary, once he's gotten over to that window you were looking out of and-- Shikamaru, you have wings o_o ]

You're not kidding. It snows here. [He catches the look.] What's wrong?

When did you get those? [ Indicating wings. He's pretty sure you didn't have those yesterday is this a bad thing D8 ]

They were on my back when I got here. I don't really remember it happening...

[He frowns at his wings, because there's something particularly disturbing about that, before turning back to Chouji.] Don't mess with them too much. Some guy I met said you could die if you pull on the feathers.

[ That's awful D: Nodding. ]

Hm. [There's a thoughtful frown as he looks at his buddy. As awesome as it is that he's his right age again, it does present some problems.] This might be more troublesome than I thought.

More troublesome? [ Pulling up a seat for now. ] How much more troublesome?

[Have a chibi stare back at you lot once he opens the door. Of all the things behind it he wasn't expecting a bunch of kids like him. Then again, he didn't exactly expect anything.]

[ ...huh. They were not expecting another chibi, either. Headtilt. ]

[He would ask if they were lost but they don't seem very lost.]

[ L-looking to the others to see what the official backup plan is for fellow chibis answering the door.

[And after ~~a long long~~ moment of staring hesitantly, Ikki will accept it and munch it.]

[And Katara is in the middle of cooking dinner by the time the chibi ninjas make their way past the fearsome guardian that is Sokka's grinning face etched in stone at the front of the Avatar house.]

Hmph. Well at least somebody's home. [He turns to take a seat by the door - if he's going to wait, he might as well be comfortable, right?]

[Okay, putting the flame down to simmer... and Katara moves to open the door.

[He's just going to... stay quiet. He'll let the others explain this.]

[He lifts his head up, back to the wall. Effectively, he's looking at her upside-down, but it would be too troublesome to turn around.]

[...it definitely is. She thinks. Probably. Because that other one looks a lot like Chouji. ...she has no idea who the kid in the glasses is, though.]

No, not really. Mind coming inside? It's cold out and I'm in the middle of cooking dinner.

[Temari's actually trying to cook for herself. It's not going well. Probably because she's been too distracted by the myriad of sounds and conversations she's been eavesdropping on in the journal. She's a good ninja, after all. Gotta keep tabs on people.

There's a knock. She opens the door. She stares.

[He blinks. Then folds his arms over his chest and sighs with the air of a man ten times his age.]

[ Not particularly fazed by this doorslam. Goes to figure someone would do that =__= ]

[She's going to have to deal with this, isn't she? Deep breath.
Another deep breath and then the door is opened again. Temari stands tall, eyes narrowed, hand on hip. She's intimidating, damn it all.]

[HA. His mom strikes that pose all the time and she's twice as scary ~~so he thinks~~.]

We were going to people's houses to ask them some questions. But you don't sound like you're nice enough to pass the test anyways, so you don't have to do it if you don't want to.
