[ Lulls in available missions happened often enough in Konoha; Chouji is no stranger to being left without purpose for stretches of time due to simple ninja-village economics. Then again, even those lulls came with the promise of assignments in the future- for all that he doesn't see the point in getting upset about how much time he might spend here, he's also kind of at a loss for what to do with all that free time.

Luckily, Akimichis have a ready remedy for boredom when the weather looks like it might not welcome training. It's called cooking, and so after a trip to the local grocery, he'll be spending the majority of the day in the fourth-floor kitchen of CH #1, if you happen to be within smelling distance.

Don't worry. He will eventually notice that the table has accumulated too much for even his well-developed appetite. ]
